Welcome To Sikkim

Sikkim is a small, landlocked state in northeastern India, nestled in the eastern Himalayas. It shares international borders with the Tibet Autonomous Region of China to the north and northeast, Bhutan to the southeast, and Nepal to the west. Domestically, it is bordered by the Indian state of West Bengal to the south.

Covering an area of approximately 7,096 square kilometers, Sikkim is the second smallest state in India. Despite its size, the state’s terrain is predominantly mountainous, featuring a diverse range of elevations. The majestic Kangchenjunga, the highest peak in India and the third-highest in the world, stands on the border between Sikkim and Nepal.

Sikkim’s capital and largest city is Gangtok, located in the southeastern part of the state. The state’s strategic location along several international boundaries, combined with its rich biodiversity and cultural heritage, makes it a unique and significant region in India
